Mike's Weblog.
Well, this anyway.
Do people seriously sit there and think "Crikey, if he bowls like that think how badly he'll run the country! And his name sounds a bit like Osama!" They should be glad his name's not George, then they'd get confused who they were voting for.
Well done America! You get the government you deserve... (although, don't get me started on Gordon Brown, who obviously spent the past decade thinking what colour to paint the downstairs toilet at number 10 rather than think of any policies.)

Hey everyone, you losers. I heartily recommend Bender's Big Score, the Futurama DVD film thingummy. It is most ace.
I also recommend the veal.

Belle and Sebastian
(Electric Honey Records 1996/ Jeepster Records 1999)
Stuart Murdoch spent most of the early 90s forging concise, witty acoustic songs that told stories about a kitchen sink world of scarf-wearing boys who try to talk to girls in libraries. And then he got a band together and put them on a record. Yay! And then I decided that it wasn't worth resisting their melancholy pop genius just because my mate said they were a bit twee.

You know what the world needs? More lists. Lists are important, because without them, men would never be able to itemise and categorise everything single thing into an overly specific order, which would lead to confusion and possibly death.
Because I don't really want to responsible for the death of thousands - at least, not after last time - I've decided to list albums I like.
I was going to write a long, evocative Q-magazine style essay as well, but writing about music without sounding like an arse is actually pretty difficult. The first one, in no particular order, comes later.
