I am Mikey C and this is the incredible Mikeynet internet time machine.

This site is an exact copy of what Mikeynet looked like in 1996, or at least, what it would have looked like, had it existed. I've interviewed Mike from 1996 to get his thoughts.

What are you liking about 1996?
I have been listening to Oasis. They are certainly the best band of all time and way better than Menswear. Take That have just split up - good riddance! I hope they never reform, and I certainly hope that Robbie William's solo career doesn't take off. Meanwhile, I can't wait for the new and exciting Labour government that will be voted in next year. It was a shame about Euro 96 but England are sure to win the next 50 world cups because they are ace.

Where do you see yourself in ten years time?
I hope to be living in Leicester, which I've heard is amazing. I will probably be a millionnaire typing things into altavista. I will have a girlfriend.

What about the internet? How do you see the technology developing in the next decade?
I won't need the internet if I have a girlfriend, stupid. Anyway, Oasis will probably own the internet by then. They'll be huge. Their website is http://www.inter-com.net/~users/music/oasis-theband/index.htm.
